it's official!

Yesterday, we heard 'summertime' on the radio for the first time this year, which we all know marks the official beginning of the summer season. When we heard it, we performed our civic duty: we rolled down the windows, turned it up, and let the anthem ring out as we pulled into the Cracker Barrell parking lot. Thank you DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince. Thank you indeed.

summer time...pass the rolls

summer time...pass the rolls

Oh how I love to tickle my ears with the sweet succulant sounds of one poet laureate
"Fresh Prince" aka Willard Christopher "Will" Smith and the picasso of the turntables "Jazzy Jeff" aka Jeffrey A. Townes

It causes the sun to rise in my soul like a new born baby and I am lost inside of the magical wonderland of love that is "summertime"

bless you my child for reminding me of this precious melody of the soul

forever yours...

the "Flowin Samoan" aka "Mellow D" aka Dustin Isidore Ahkuoi

Fellas,
Thanks for the 'summertime' love. (That may have sounded weird.)
My favorite line is "...late in the day, and I ain't been on the court yet, hustle to the mall to get me a short set. Yeah, I got on sneaks, but I need a new pair..."

Hey! Heard such great things about you speaking at the Iowa/Minn camps this year. The kids thought you were incredible. So good to hear. Sounds like life is well!
